When the inner diameter size and load capacity are the same as those of other types of bearings, the needle bearing has the smallest outer diameter, so it is particularly suitable for a radial mounting size limited support structure.
Under special conditions, needle bearings require the use of a structure without an inner ring or a structure with only a needle roller and a cage. At this time, the journal surface and the shell hole surface matched with the bearing directly serve as the inner and outer rolling surfaces of the bearing. To ensure the load capacity and running performance are the same as those of the ferrule bearing, the hardness of the raceway surface of the shaft or the shell hole, the machining accuracy and The surface quality should be similar to the raceway of the bearing ring. This type of bearing can only withstand radial loads.
